Honda turned to v-configuration engines in 1978 with the arrival of the CX500. More significant though, was the introduction in 1983 of the VT500, also a v-twin but with the cylinders mounted fore-and-aft rather than across the frame like the CX. Of adequate performance and cheap to run, the VT500 soon became a favourite with dispatchers, particularly as it lacked the reliability problems associated with other contemporary Hondas.
This VT500E is in good condition and has few kilometers on the odometer.
