After the Z1000 was surpassed as top superbike by Honda's six-cylinder CBX, Kawasaki struck back with the Z1300. Kawasaki's new flagship provided ample performance (120bhp) and a top speed of 140mph, yet the bike handled smoothly and predictably. Sold in limited numbers, the Z1300 is highly sought after today.
